Bids for patrol car, EMS station before Kershaw County Council

Kershaw County Council will discuss bids for a sheriff’s patrol car and construction of an EMS station during its first meeting of 2017 today at 5:30 p.m. One of the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office’s patrol cars was struck head-on in an accident involving several other vehicles last year. The car was declared a total loss and KCSO received insurance compensation to replace the car, however, there is some added expense to equip the vehicle. KCSO has enough money in the budget for those additional costs; in fact, normally, KCSO would not need council approval for the expenditure.
