Bobby Gary takes office; KCC passes roadside fundraising ordinance

Robert “Bobby” Gary took his seat on Kershaw County Council representing District 1 residents for the second time in six years. District 1 voters first elected Gary to the seat in 2008 and voted him in again during a special election in late March. Kershaw County Magistrate Judge James Davis swore Gary into office during a brief 5 p.m. ceremony in council chambers Tuesday, with Pastor Charles Davis holding the Bible for him.
