Kershaw County Council’s November meeting -- held Nov. 9 due to the Nov. 8 General Election -- lasted three and a half hours, with council members taking about 30 minutes to debate and amend the very agenda it had set for the evening. Also, 11 people spoke during a full 30-minute public comment period, and three people spoke for 10 minutes during a 30-minute public hearing. In addition, a public presentation on a proposed update to the county’s master recreation plan -- including a complete replacement of Woodward Park -- took approximately 35 minutes.
