Kershaw County Council passed first reading of an ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of general obligation bonds, not to exceed $6.5 million, during its meeting Tuesday night at the Kershaw County Government Center. The funds generated from the bonds will go toward infrastructure improvement projects in the county’s sewer system. Specifically, three pump stations in the Elgin area need work.
