As reported in Friday’s edition, during the Jan. 10 meeting of Kershaw County Council, members unanimously voted on first reading to change its rules and order of business in various ways, including to form a council finance committee made up of three council members with two-year terms. At the end of that meeting, Chairwoman Katie Guinn announced that, in order to have the committee formed as soon as possible, she would call a special meeting to take up second reading of the ordinance enacting the changes. Third reading will take place at council’s Jan. 24 meeting.
