Dolly Patton at Council
Arts Center of Kershaw County Executive Director Dolly Patton addresses Kershaw County Council during its meeting Tuesday evening as (at left) Arts Center board member and former educator Dr. Mary Jones looks on. Patton provided a little history of the Arts Center, updated council on how things have been going during the COVID-19 pandemic, and looked ahead to the center’s 50th anniversary in 2024. (Martin L. Due to the absence of an under-the-weather County Administrator Vic Carpenter from its meeting Tuesday, Kershaw County Council amended its agenda to delete a discussion and possible vote on purchasing approximately 500 acres of land surrounding the county’s wastewater treatment plant. Council also pulled a planned executive session about the pending purchase from the agenda.
