A small business/nonprofits grants program created by Kershaw County Council a month ago has already assisted more than 100 local small businesses, according to former councilman John Lee, who is chairing the COVID Disaster Relief Committee empowered to review the applications. The grants program is being administered by Kershaw County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Amy Kinard. Council created the program to assist small businesses and nonprofits suffering the economic impacts of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus pandemic.
