Kershaw County has and will continue to benefit from part of the S.C. Department of Transportation’s (SCDOT) $417 billion paving program as the agency enters the second year of its 10-year plan. The projects are part of SCDOT’s 2019 consolidated Pavement Improvement Program, or PIPP. According to documents attached to a SCDOT press release issued Friday, Kershaw County will see more than $5 million worth of work. The work will cover the both rehabilitation/reconstruction and preservation projects, in some cases, a combination of both.
