Shelter supporters hope story leads to more donations for new facility
Sometimes a great story can motivate others to help. Nola Armstrong, who is helping the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter in promoting its fundraising efforts to build a new facility on Black River Road, was at the shelter recently when an emergency case came in. “A hero dog had jumped in between a man who was beating a woman with a baseball bat to protect her,” Armstrong said.
