Although Kershaw County Council passed a resolution two weeks ago accepting a $2.6 million deal to take over emergency medical services (EMS) from KershawHealth, it will take up two ordinances related to officially making that deal at its meeting Tuesday night. KershawHealth is agreeing to pay Kershaw County the $2.636 million in exchange for the county’s takeover of EMS on July 1. The county, meanwhile, is agreeing to give up any interest in any KershawHealth-related property.
