Helping Habitat for Humanity
Habitat - First Baptist Church

Habitat for Humanity of Kershaw County continues to work -- and get help in working -- on assisting deserving families to become homeowners. On Jan. 16, the local AKA Sorority cleaned up a Habitat home. The organization thanks AKA members (first photo, from left) Alfred Mae Drakeford, Jacqie Howard, Theresa Young-Evans, Maude Cooper, Lisa Perry and Katherine Wright for their time and dedication. Also on Jan. 16, congregants from First Baptist Church of Camden helped build a roof on a Habitat home. They included (second photo, from left) Ed Wright, Jody Stevens, Don Cook, Ronnie Kinnett and Troy Bolin. Habitat for Humanity and First Baptist Church are partnering to build a family’s new home.
