Kershaw County is one step closer to hiring its first new economic development director in 14 years. The position became vacant Aug. 8 after the office’s last director, Nelson Lindsay, took a similar position in Richland County. According to Kershaw County Council Chairman Gene Wise, the position should be filled by late September or early October.
