Kershaw County Council has given the green light to move forward with settlement of a lawsuit between Kershaw County and Camden Jet Center Inc. Near the end of its Oct. 23 meeting, council went into executive session at the request of County Attorney Ken DuBose to receive an update regarding litigation between Camden Jet Center Inc. and Kershaw County, with a possible need for a vote upon return from executive session. When council returned from executive session, Councilman Sammie Tucker Jr. made a motion that council accept a proffer of settlement in the matter of two lawsuits filed by Camden Jet Center Inc. against the county.
