Kershaw County Council finalized approximately $60 million worth of investment deals at its meeting Tuesday after completing fee-in-lieu-of-taxes (FILOT) agreements with Southeast Renewable Energy (SRE) and INVISTA. County Administrator Vic Carpenter categorized the investments as a “great way” to end the year. “It’s been a tumultuous year for a lot of people, this county included. But I think it’s a high note to end our year on,” Carpenter said.
