KCC eyes regulations for roadside businesses

Kershaw County Council discussed a variety of options to regulate so-called “roadside vendors” during Thursday’s work session. Councilman Jimmy Jones initiated the topic in light of the growing number of small, transient businesses setting up shop along U.S. 1 in Lugoff. Jones, who represents a portion of Lugoff, indicated the problem mostly stretches from the Wateree River bridge to the I-20 exit.
