Kershaw County Council will consider fee-in-lieu-of-taxes (FILOT) agreements between Kershaw County and two companies that could help solidify an industrial park agreement with Sumter County. “While these expansions aren’t new, they’re finalizing agreements that will bring investments to the county,” said Kershaw County Administrator Vic Carpenter at county council’s work session Thursday. FILOT agreements with Southeast Renewable Energy (SRE) and Oak-Mitsui were discussed at the work session with votes on the agreements scheduled for council’s meeting Tuesday.
