Kershaw County Council selected four new appointments to the KershawHealth Board of Trustees Tuesday with all but one receiving unanimous support. The new members include one woman, Karen Eckford, a banker with NBSC, who was appointed on a 6-0 vote to represent the DeKalb Township. Council Chairman Gene Wise recused himself from the decision, explaining that he sits on the advisory board for NBSC. Steve Holliday Jr., a senior agent with S.C. Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services, was also appointed from the DeKalb Township.
