Kershaw County Council passed a resolution encouraging county residents and others to wear face masks in the fight against the COVID-19 novel coronavirus. Council voted 6-1, with Councilman Jimmy Jones voting against the resolution. Jones thanked council for considering a resolution as opposed to a mandate, especially after reading through the city of Camden’s face covering mandate that went into effect July 3.
