KCC passes second reading rezoning requests

After some discussion, Kershaw County Council gave second reading approval for two rezoning requests during its Sept. 12 meeting. However, while council passed first readings of these requests unanimously during its Aug. 22 meeting, the second reading votes on both requests came out 5-1. During public comment period, Kershaw County School Board Trustee Mark Sury appeared before council to outline several concerns from the school district regarding the rezoning.
