Kershaw County Council will conduct its annual planning retreat today and tomorrow.

The retreat is held every year for the purpose of reviewing goals and accomplishments, prioritizing upcoming goals and projects and receiving information from all departments.

The retreat also serves as a starting point for the county’s budget process, as council receives information regarding departmental needs and potential expenditures.

The retreat will be held today starting at 6 p.m. at Indigo Jones, 511 Rutledge St., Camden, and Saturday starting at 7:30 a.m. at the Kershaw County Economic Development Office, located on the Kershaw Cuonty campus of Central Carolina Technical Institute, 95 Innovation Way, Camden. Both sessions are open to the public.
