KCC to consider new cell tower amendment

Kershaw County Council will consider first reading of an ordinance amending the county’s regulations on communications towers during its meeting Tuesday. Council passed an ordinance in October 2013 governing the construction of such towers, used primarily by cell phone service providers. The new proposal would extend the length of time available to notify neighboring property owners about towers planned near their property, allowing them ample time to protest the construction with the county’s planning and zoning board.
