KCFM to begin accepting SNAP Saturday

Marketing Director Roshanda Pratt likes to describe the Kershaw County Farmers Market (KCFM) has having “a little something for everybody.” That idea will grow even more beginning Saturday as the market begins accepting SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps) in an effort to expand its boundaries for providing the community healthy and locally-grown options to eat. KCFM Manager Shannon Harbor said customers will be able to swipe their EBT card and then receive tokens to use for vendors who have approved the program for use at their stall.
