The Kershaw County Legislative Delegation, including state senators Vincent Sheheen and Thomas McElveen and State Rep. Laurie Slade Funderburk, will host a community meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 at the Lugoff Fire-Rescue headquarters on Hwy. 1 in Lugoff to update those impacted by the recent flood.
“We have received many questions over the last couple of weeks about agency responses to the floods and where help can be gotten,” Sheheen said. “We want to bring the responsible officials here to Kershaw County so our citizens can get answers to their questions.”
Representatives from Kershaw County; the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency; S.C. Adjutant General’s Office; and the S.C. departments of Employment & Workforce, Transportation, Insurance and Health & Environmental Control will be on hand along with some local officials. They will be available to answer any questions those in attendance may have.
