April 15th became a very special day to remember for one of Lugoff Fire Department’s career firefighting staff. Jack Truesdale, assistant chief of the Lugoff Fire Department, was awarded the 2011 Volunteer Hunter Education Instructor of the Year for the S.C. Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR). The honor was give to Truesdale at an awards banquet held at Seawell’s Restaurant in Columbia.
