Mary D. D’Alessio recently joined Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church (LHPC) as its pastor, becoming the first woman to lead the historic church. Originally from Conway, D’Alessio received her B.A. in English from Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont, Calif., and attended Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Ga. She met her husband, Dave, originally from Rhode Island, while working in Myrtle Beach. “My husband and I met while working at First Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach,” D’Alessio said.
