Nelson Lindsay, Kershaw County’s economic development director since 1997, has been hired by Richland County to fill a similar position. He will become Richland County’s first economic development director. Lindsay said the primary reason for the move was that Richland County was the state’s second largest county and that it has never had an economic development director.
