Vivian Bracey Metze has had an outstanding career in the greater Camden community as an educator and community activist for more than 40 years. Born in 1928 to Edward and Rachel Boykin Bracey on a little farm out by Hermitage Mills toward Bishopville, she attended elementary school at Boylan-Haven-Mather Academy for three years. Metze then attended Lincoln Elementary School in Sumter before ultimately graduating from Jackson High School back in Camden.
