For the first time in 14 years, Kershaw County will have a new economic development director in Peggy McLean, chosen to fill the position left vacant by former director Nelson Lindsay. County Administrator Vic Carpenter said McLean comes to the county with a wealth of economic development experience. “Peggy’s grasp of industry’s needs mixed with her knowledge of S.C.’s laws and business climate make her uniquely able to continue the progress that this county has made in the last decade,” Carpenter said.
