Food for the Soul, a non-profit, Camden-based ministry, is continuing its sod sale campaign at the Kershaw County Farmers Market this fall to raise funds for projects in the community. Karen Eckford, campaign coordinator, said the idea sprang from another project of the organization, “Pass the Plate,” a summer fundraiser focusing on helping the hungry and homeless. “During that campaign, one of our supporters offered to provide us with sod,” Eckford said.
