Santa greets Kershaw County children

Santa greeted children at the Kershaw County Government Center on Dec. 15. During the morning, he met (starting with first picture) Jessie Brice, Landon Ward and Kimberly Chancey. Throughout the day, children filled out letters to Santa, indicating whether they’d been naughty or nice (we’re pretty sure they all said they’d been nice) and letting him know what they wanted for Christmas and their wishes for the new year. In the fourth picture, an Elf -- Kershaw County Economic Development Director Peggy McLean -- uses a special pneumatic tube system to send one of the letters to the North Pole for Santa to read before he sets on his magical Christmas Eve journey.
