Battleground Preservation Trust Executive Director and CEO Doug Bostick (left) presents a gorget to Kershaw County Council Chairman Julian Burns (center) with assistance from former Kershaw County Administrator Vic Carpenter, who was also conferred the rank of colonel. The trust honored both men for supporting The Liberty Trail in South Carolina.
The S.C. Battleground Preservation Trust recently presented Kershaw County Council Chairman Julian Burns, and Amy and Vincent Sheheen with ceremonial gorgets in recognition for their support of and assistance with The Liberty Trail. Additionally, the trust awarded Kershaw County Administrator Vic Carpenter a commission of colonel in the South Carolina Militia.
