Kershaw County Treasurer Steve Vincent is one of four finalists for the county administrator post. The three other candidates -- whose identities were released Tuesday, selected from a pool of 48 applicants -- are Josh Kay, manager for the city of Clinton; Victor Carpenter, the interim county director in Abbeville County; and Alfred Greene, former county manager in Union County, N.C. Vincent, who lives in Lugoff, has served the county’s 61,697 residents as treasurer since 1997, prior to which he was a captain at the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from Troy State University out of Sumter, as well as a doctorate of ministry from the online Bible school Christian Leadership University.
