Voters in Democratic Primary will use new voting machines
KCC - Voting 1
Kershaw County Voter Registration Deputy Director William Brunson holds up one of two machines voters will use during the Feb. 29 Democratic Preference Primary and other elections this year. The machine allows voters to record and verify their votes and then prints out a paper ballot for further verification. Voters then scan the paper ballot into a second machine, officially casting their ballots. (Martin L. Cahn/C-I)
County residents who choose to participate in the Feb. 29 Democratic Preference Primary will cast their votes using a new hybrid electronic/paper balloting system. Kershaw County Voter Registration Director John Caughman and Deputy Director William Brunson spent some time during Tuesday’s Kershaw County Council meeting demonstrating how the new machines work.
