Catfish Stomp parade brings out spectators despite rain

This year marked the 38th year of Elgin’s Catfish Stomp with residents braving both rain and cooler temperatures to attend the festivities. The Catfish Stomp’s weekend activities included Elgin’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony, a carnival and Saturday’s parade. This year, Elgin’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony was held in conjunction with the Catfish Stomp.
