The town of Elgin will host a night of hope for the community at Blaney Baptist Church on April 27 at 6 p.m. Five churches will be involved in the event where three local groups will perform. “We want to promote unity and hope in the community amidst the negative events of the past year,” Councilwoman Melissa Emmons said. In other news, three new business licenses were applied for in March: Great Southern Homes, True Comfort of the Carolinas and Signal Homes.
