Horsepen Creek bridge on Eskie Dixon to be replaced
Bridge Replacement Web
The bridge marked in pink near the center of this map provided by the S.C. Department of Transportation is slated for replacement in April. The bridge, which crosses Horsepen Creek (shown as the broken red line), will be closed April 2, and the new bridge is scheduled to be opened July 2. During those approximately 13 weeks, traffic will be rerouted along a detour (highlighted in yellow) along U.S. 1 and Watts Hill Road.
The S.C. Department of Transportation (SCDOT) plans to replace a bridge on Eskie Dixon Road over Horsepen Creek in Kershaw County. Replacement of the bridge is necessary due to the bridge being structurally deficient. The bridge over the creek is being replaced with a new 70-foot pre-stressed concrete bridge deck.
