Lugoff Fire Rescue T
Lugoff Fire-Rescue had a busy Friday morning, including a head-on collision between a commercial truck and a passenger vehicle on U.S. 601.
Heavy rains Friday morning caused traffic problems in western Kershaw County. Lugoff Fire-Rescue (LF-R) crews were dispatched around 6 a.m. Friday to Training Track Drive inside the Saddlebrook Subdivision off U.S. 1 in Lugoff for a vehicle partially submerged in water with passengers trapped inside. A Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived first on the scene and reported to the fire crews that the water was up to the passenger’s knees inside the small car.
