Organizers behind the effort to build a new state-of-the-art playground at the Kershaw County West Complex between Lugoff and Elgin said they are pleased and appreciative of the support which is reportedly well ahead of schedule. The project is planned for construction on land donated by the county, a move approved by Kershaw County Council earlier this year. However, the cost of the playground is being funded completely through private donations and grants.
