Camdens Burns knew general killed in Afghanistan

A retired U.S. Army major general living in Camden knew and served with an Army major general killed in Afghanistan earlier this week. U.S. Army Maj. Gen Julian Burns (ret.), of Camden, said Maj. Gen. Harold J. Greene was a friend with whom he served both in the U.S. and overseas. According to an official news release from the U.S. Army, Greene, of Schenectady, N.Y., died from gunshot wounds suffered when his unit was attacked at the Marshal Fahim National Defense University in Kabul, Afghanistan.
