Fletcher promoted to brigadier general

Antonio M. Fletcher (SOJTF-B, USSOCOM), a Camden native and son of Thelma Rutledge and King Fletcher, of Camden, earned a promotion to brigadier general during ceremonies held in November. Fletcher graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1989 and was commissioned in the Army as an infantry second lieutenant. He began his Army career in the 197th Infantry Brigade, Fort Benning, Ga. Assignments there included duty as a rifle platoon leader, scout platoon leader, headquarters company executive officer and battalion maintenance officer.
