From 1966-1967, a small group of pilots would serve together in an attack helicopter gunship platoon in Vietnam. Now, more than 50 years later, those who are left still get together once a year to share memories, laugh, reminisce and perhaps raise a glass to absent comrades. This year, the reunion was held in Lugoff at the home of Lt. Col. Gene Wages, one of those young pilots, now retired after a 35-year career in the U.S. Army.
