A mother raises military academy men
Beth Ford’s sons are Air Force proud and Navy bound
Ford and Sons
Beth Ford and her sons, Benjamin (left) and Zack Watson. Benjamin, 18, was recently accepted into the U.S. Naval Academy, a year after Zack, 23, graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy. Ford, a single mother, said she never had time to “baby” her sons, both letting them do their own things while making sure they knew what would be required if they pursued their goals of entering the two academies. The story of Camden brothers Zack and Benjamin Watson’s appointments to the country’s prestigious U.S. Air Force Academy and U.S. Naval Academy is also the story of a mother who single-handedly raised them to be responsible for the lives they made.
