The middle of 2011 took us past the Wateree River where a pirate ship temporarily weighed anchor, brought us the discovery of missing evidence from a 2010 trial, saw a longtime county official leave and a new city archives director come on board, and run a dog pack down in Camden’s historic district. So, man that rudder and steer your way through some more of the top stories of 2011 as we continue our look back at the year almost past. May The Wateree River Pirates invaded Kershaw County as they completed construction of their pirate ship on the banks of the Wateree River near the I-20 bridge between Lugoff and Camden.
