Sometimes considered a “rock star” by young athletes and certainly recognized as a “great gift” to the community, local sports writer and commentator Tom Didato was honored Sunday at a multicultural history celebration at the Kershaw County Library highlighting his works and writings. “He was a rock star to one (like me) growing up,” according to 15-season NFL veteran and hometown favorite Vonnie Holliday, a 1994 Camden High School (CHS) graduate and 2012 defensive end for the Arizona Cardinals. “Now, Tom has become a friend.”
