Family members of S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) Kershaw County probation/parole officer Jennifer Donald and DJJ employees gathered Wednesday to honor her memory. Donald worked for DJJ in Kershaw County for more than 26 years before passing away earlier this year from a medical condition. Tuesday, students from the community cleared an area in front of Camden’s DJJ building in preparation for Wednesday’s service and as part of Restoring Carolina, during which the agency performs community service projects to commemorate 9/11. Wednesday, local DJJ Director April McFadden presented Donald’s family with a certificate honoring Jennifer for her years of service. A rose bush was planted and a memorial cross placed in Donald’s memory.
