Willie Lockler
Willie Locklear
One face will be missing from the Carolina Cup when it returns to Camden March 30. Willie “Almond” Locklear, official farrier for both the Carolina Cup and Colonial Cup since 1997, died last week at the age of 65. Those connected to the Cup and the National Steeplechase Museum remembered him fondly.
