Feature photo: Storm clean up
A ‘Service to America’ project of the Hobkirk Hill Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution consisted of clean up after Hurricane Michael. The 13 cedar trees in the background were planted on the 100th anniversary of the Chapter in 2007. Standing by the monument placed in 1957 by the chapter are (from left) Marietta Gordon, Inis Gibbes, Paddy Bell, Robin Wilson, Mary Ellen Jordan, Elva Pittsenbarger and VV Kornegay (photographer).
