Hermine brushes Kershaw County

Hurricane Hermine caused some mayhem as it made landfall in Florida before sweeping through Georgia and the Carolinas, with at least two deaths and millions of dollars of property damage being attributed to the storm. But aside from a steady rain all day Friday, Hermine pretty much left Kershaw County alone. According to the National Weather Service website, Kershaw County received between 3.8 and 5.29 inches of rain, with the heaviest precipitation in the West Wateree area.
