Middle school kids can become 'STARS'

Middle school-aged students are the focus of a new summer safety program being launched by the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO). STARS Summer Camp will provide students with an affordable week-long camp focusing on age-appropriate public and personal safety topics. Topics include: • bullying/cyber-bullying; • Internet safety; • boater safety; • fire safety; • highway safety; • basic first aid; • alcohol and drug abuse prevention; and • working a crime scene from the initial 911 call to the courtroom.
