The camp is from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. this coming Monday through Wednesday at the Camden High School (CHS) Gym, 1022 Ehrenclou Drive, Camden and will teach the fundamentals of basketball and aspects of life “Beyond the Court.” Emphasis will be placed on physical skills and techniques, proper training and conditioning, team sport, positive mental attitudes, healthy lifestyles and good sportsmanship, as well as many other aspects. The camp is instructed by CHS Varsity Boys Assistant Coach Sterling Council along with other standout basketball players. Cost is $60 per camper (includes lunch, T-shirt, and sports bag).
Technical Soccer Camp
Technical Soccer Camp offers a fun and nurturing environment conducive to learning. The curriculum will cover technical development, technical functional training, scrimmages, and includes our 1,001 touches program. “A” Licensed Director of Coaching for Liverpool FCA Alan Riches selects his staff based on many factors such as their enthusiasm, soccer knowledge and capabilities and the ability to establish relationships. Each camper is treated as an individual with unique needs. The purpose of the recreational camp is to have fun while developing soccer awareness and skills for long-term growth. It’s a game to enjoy, so we use laughter as just one measuring tool. The more serious player will undergo training that will encourage decision making within a competitive environment in order to maximize potential. The camp will be held 9 a.m. until noon June 15-19 at KC West Complex, 519 Whitehead Road, Lugoff. Cost is $65 per camper (includes T-shirt).
Through games, stories, role play and conversation, children master many different etiquette skills including: table manners, proper introductions, cell phone manners, being a guest, how to find the positive in any situation, and much, much more. Campers will take home a T-shirt and other class materials to help reinforce the skills they learn at camp. The camp will be held 9 a.m. until noon June 15-18 at the Recreation Department. Cost is $75 per camper (includes T-shirt).
